Brain maturity- it takes a very long time for the brain to fully mature: 25 years! The purpose of a very long childhood and reasons to resist pushing for early maturation. Play is nature’s way of developing the prefrontal cortex; play is more important than ever!

• Skills for supporting healthy development
Maria Montessori and Gordon Neufeld inspired parenting skills: the skill of scaffolding, attachment based discipline, what’s up with the new “alpha” children, childhood anxiety. Working with nature’s attachment conscience: a reason to reflect on how parenting styles affect children in the present and at the same time sculpt the brain of their futures

$20 drop-in fee for friends and general public
